Personal data
Personal data is any data referring to your person. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to indicate any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address as well as additional information to provide the desired service.
The same applies if you wish to receive information material from us and/or when we reply to your enquiry. In these cases, we will point this out to you. Additionally, we will only store the data which you have transferred to us automatically or voluntarily.
When you use one of our services, we generally only collect data which we require to be able to provide our service to you. We may ask you for additional, voluntary information. We only process personal data to be able to offer our service to you or to pursue our commercial objectives.
Automatically stored non-personal data
For administrative and technical reasons, we will store specific information when you visit our website. This information includes: Type and version of the browser used, date and time of access as well as your IP address.
This data will be anonymised and only used for statistical purposes or for improving our internet and online services. This anonymised data will be stored on secure systems, separately from personal data, and cannot be allocated to individual persons. This means that your personal data will always remain protected.
Cookies
When you visit our website, we may store information in the form of cookies on your PC. Cookies are small files which are transferred from an internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. The legal basis for the use of cookies is article 6, section 1, lit f, GDPR.
Here, only the internet protocol address will be stored, no other personal data. The information stored in the cookies will enable us to automatically recognise you once you visit our website again, which will simplify your use.
Naturally, you can visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your PC to be recognised upon your next visit, you can reject the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to decline the acceptance of cookies. The corresponding procedure is explained in the operating instructions of your respective browser. If you decline the acceptance of cookies, however, the use of some areas of our website may be restricted.
Google Analytics with anonymisation function
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (in the following referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that are stored on your PC and thus enable the analysis of your use of the website.
The information created by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your visit on our website, including your IP address, will be transferred to Google in the US and stored there.
On our website, we use Google Analytics with the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp". In this case, your IP address will already be shortened within EU member states or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymised.
Google will use this information to analyse how you use our website, to compile reports about the website activities for us and to render further services associated with the use of the website and of the Internet. If legally required, or where third parties process such data on behalf of Google, Google will also transmit this information to third parties.
According to their own statements, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data stored by Google in any case. You can prevent the installation of such cookies by changing the settings of your browser software accordingly; however, please note that, in this case, you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.
Additionally, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most commonly used browsers, which will give you more control over which data is collected by Google regarding the websites visited by you. This add-on will inform the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information on website visits shall be transferred to Google Analytics. However, the deactivation add-on for browsers by Google Analytics does not prevent the transfer of information to us or other web analysis services commissioned by us. Additional information on the installation of the browser add-on can be found under the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
If you access our page via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you will need to click this link instead in order to prevent future tracking by Google Analytics on this web page. This alternative may also be chosen instead of the above-mentioned browser add-on. By clicking on the link, an opt-out cookie will be placed on your browser which will only be valid for this browser and this domain. Should you erase the cookies in this respective browser, the opt-out cookie will be erased as well. You will therefore need to click on the link again.
If you have agreed to having your web and app browser history linked to your Google account by Google and to have information from your Google account used for personalising adds, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data in order to create target group lists for remarketing across several devices. For this purpose, Google Analytics will initially record your Google authenticated ID on our website, which are linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Subsequently, Google Analytics will temporarily link your ID to your Google Analytics data in order to optimise our target groups.
If you do not consent to this, you may deactivate this feature by making the corresponding settings in the section “My account” of your Google account.
Safety
We have implemented technical and administrative safety measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All of our employees and all service providers working for us are obliged to adhere to the applicable data protection laws.
Whenever we collect and process personal data, the latter will be encrypted before it is transferred. This means that your data cannot be misused by any third parties. Our safety measures are subject to an ongoing optimisation process, and our data protection declarations are continuously revised. Please ensure that you have the currently applicable version.
Rights of data subjects
Please always contact us if you want to know which part of your personal data will be stored by us or if you wish to have this data corrected or deleted. Additionally, you have the right to restriction of processing (article 18, GDPR), the right to object to its processing (article 21, GDPR) as well as the right to data portability (article 20, GDPR). In these cases, please contact us directly.
Changes to this data protection declaration
We reserve the right to change our data protection declaration if this becomes necessary due to new technologies. Please ensure that you have the currently applicable version. If we change this data protection declaration substantially, we will notify this on our website.
